Involuntary Medication Objectors (Vaccination/Fluoride) Party

An unsurprising platform in the hell hole that is Australian politics, this party cares about two things and they’re literally right in the name.

Given that their two ideological stands go against basic science, medicine, logic and government policy, and that they don’t have policy on anything else, I think it’s very fair to label their political leaning as bullshit and put their trash value as low as it fucking goes, because I’m not going to waste time validating these fools in any way.

Policy

The party doesn’t have any policy on their website. But if they did, you know it would be some complete bullshit about vaccines and fluoride.

Here are some facts. The only study that has ever shown a link between vaccines and autism was a fraud and has been retracted. It has also not been replicated, and it’s findings nullified by multiple reputable studies. None of the other harms antivaxxers claim have ever been proven in a clinical setting, and the only ‘evidence’ supporting them is anecdotal and often from the antivaxxer’s themselves. But the harms of not vaccinating are very, very real, yet completely ignored by these idiots.

In terms of fluoridation, firstly the concentrations of fluoride compounds are so low that even if they’re toxic substances in pure form, aren’t able to hurt a fly in drinking water. Also, a study of Queensland towns that removed fluoride from their water supply showed a marked increase in tooth decay, the very thing fluoride helps prevent.

And if that isn’t enough to convince you, please get the hell away from me and live in an enclave in the bush so you don’t fuck things up for the rest of us.
