Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting)

--

Another “family rights” party, they believe that the default position in divorce should be for parents to get equal custody. Unfortunately, it is framed from a bit of a men’s rights perspective which is a bit of a red flag.

But there are a few more red flags as well. The first of which is the letter to Pauline Hanson on their website, in which they call her a “very special human being”. Which is one way of describing her, but I’m probably not reading that in the way the party intended. Add on that they want you to preference One Nation above the Liberals and Labor and you should probably run for the hills.

The other red flag is that they’re literally running a candidate named ‘Knot Aman’, who claims he can’t use his real name to campaign because of a DVO. And that sounds like a large amount of bullshit to me. Like I could be wrong, but it just seems way too strange to be true.

Policy

As I mentioned earlier, the party’s policy is based around how they want changes to family law, child support and other related things, which don’t really seem that necessary.

They do have some vague policy on other areas, but honestly that’s not the reason you’re going to vote for these guys so does it really matter.

Vote for them if

You really want Pauline Hanson to notice you.
