Pauline Hanson’s One Nation

I don’t have much to say about the worst party on the Australian political landscape. I think that if you agree with a party that has spewed anti-Islamic rhetoric into Australian political discourse, has supported blatantly racist policy which has no grounding in reality, conspired with the NRA to loosen Australia’s gun laws, and is the reason Fraser Anning managed to get into parliament with 19 primary votes, there’s not much I can say that will change your mind.

If you want Australia to be a fairer, more united country, you should not vote for One Nation. If you want political discourse to be separated from the hatred and dog whistling that has defined it for the last few years, you should not vote for One Nation. And if you don’t want the major parties to be forced to negotiate with a party that has given a legitimate platform to complete and utter bullshit, you should not vote for One Nation.

Policy

Honestly the most worrying thing wasn’t the party’s policy. It was the fact that this was a lot lower on the scale of fuckery compared to many other parties on this list. However, this party has a much bigger platform, and a much louder voice, so even though their views are slightly less extreme, they’re much worse in impact.

As such, I won’t link to their policy. They have had ample opportunity to spread their views and justify their idiocy to the entire voting public, and I won’t be complicit in spreading it any further. All you need to know is that the majority of their platform is not based in fact, and none of it will come a surprise if you have ever heard anything that Pauline Hanson has ever had to say.

You want Australia to be a much worse place.
