Oh wait, they’re talking about this kind of pirate aren’t they.

I thought this was real for more than a second

But this party is a part of the global Pirate platform, which mostly concerns itself with civil and digital rights, among a bunch of other different issues. And partly through not doing much to stand out as trash (or worse), as well as having over 300 different references to justify all of their policy, this party pretty comfortably passes as tolerable.

Policy

As I mentioned just then, the party’s platform is extensively researched and goes into quite a lot of detail. They want protections over a lot of different freedoms including speech and privacy, implementation of a basic income, and better government transparency, and that’s just scratching the surface.

And because they have all the references and such detailed justifications, you can better understand why the policy is there in the first place, which is really refreshing compared to a lot of the other parties.
