Secular Party of Australia

A party who really want more secularism, or in more simple terms, really don’t like religion and want to try and remove it from everywhere they can. But turns out they kind of just end up a little Islamaphobic, and we really don’t need more of that anywhere.

Also, they’re supposedly really terrible debaters, which is not a good sign given that if they’re elected, their only job is to debate on legislation.

Policy

None of it comes as a surprise. They have a lot of aims around promoting secularism, but surprisingly, very little policy about how they would actually go about it.

They do have some vaguely progressive policy on other areas such as education, drugs and welfare, but it’s pretty damn vague and again, anyone labelled “dour” and “bumbling” during a debate doesn’t fill me with confidence.
