Socialist Alliance

The first of the socialist parties, so it’s time for the Sassy Socialist Memes:

Honestly a pretty accurate representation of their platform.

The main problem with this party is just that it’s a lot. There’s a lot of policy, (most people would probably say too much), and it’s really hard to get a read on what their priorities actually are. Their Wikipedia page has 150 different references, which is more than what the Liberal and Labor pages have combined.

It’s exhausting, and anything that makes Australian politics even more exhausting is trash to me.

Policy

Honestly, the best way I can describe the stances of this party is to look at the Green’s policy, but then dial it up to 11. Think a 70% tax rate for the highest bracket, or the nationalisation of public transport and no more motorways, or the ending of all “aggressive” military alliances with countries like the US.

There is a lot LOT more but I’m not wading through the rest of it for you. Just think of what the socialist stance probably is and you’ll probably be on the money for what their policy is.
