The Together Party

--

A party that seems to have been founded by a dude who wrote a book about how Australian politics is cooked and he’s the one to fix. The dude is Mark Swivel, a lawyer and comedian, because apparently lawyers can be funny sometimes.

And look, the party seems to have a little bit too much focus on that book. And Mark. It’s just a little too much of a culty vibe for comfort.

Also any party that makes up words like “minifesto” is definitely trash.

Policy

The party’s “minifesto” (ugh) outlines their core policy beliefs, which are fairly progressive. Their major principle is ‘human rights above all’, which is a pretty good principle to stand behind. And they even have a cute little cloud of related principles:

Woah what a bunch of surprising principles for a left-leaning party

And their policy matches it pretty well, with them calling for the closure for all immigration detention centres, a Australian Bill of Rights, and a bunch of other things you would expect from a progressive party.

Vote for them if

You think lawyers can be funny.
