It’s August now and it has been a month since the end OS.University’s initial EDU token generation and distribution campaign. Wow, what a month!
What better time for an exciting mid-summer crypto update! Despite the fact that across the northern hemisphere we are in the middle of the summer vacations period, below are some of the main stories from over the past 30 days that speak of the rapid pace with which our project is advancing forward:
- Early Adopters: OS.University to partner with one of the world leading consultancies — SBR Consulting
- Strategic Partners: Rechained Ltd. to partner with CREDITS
- Team Members: Rob Garris joins OS.University advisory team
- Project Development: OS.University success story from London
- Technology Development: Rechained Ltd. was assigned 3 United States patents on information security
- Crypto-Economics: OSU Backers’ Guide: Fair Value vs. Market Price of the EDU ERC20 Token
Below you can find some additional community announcements, regarding ongoing and upcoming events for you to keep a close eye on:
Airdrop Distribution
Our airdrop tokens are now unlocked and are loaded in a dedicated smart contract, based on the most recent Telegram referral data.
To receive your tokens, you need to send a transaction of 0 ETH to the smart contract (~50/100 000 gas limit). In return, you will receive automatically the amount of EDU, equivalent to the number of referrals made by you (as per the general terms & conditions of the airdrop campaign).
To double-check your EDU allowance, you can run a query here, providing the ETH address with which you have participated in the airdrop.
Crypto Conference
Our Project Lead Hristian Daskalov will be part of CEE Block 2018, together with representatives of the European Commission, PwC Zurich, ENDEAVOR, Aeternity Ventures and others.
CEE Block 2018 is the biggest Blockchain Forum in Central and Eastern Europe that brings together high-level policy-makers and global brands. It will be under the patronage of Maria Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society.
Team Member Farewell
In an open source project, people come and go all the time. That’s the beauty of it — every new member brings new skills, knowledge and experience. And even when people have to leave, they remain strong advocates of the project - something you would not see in a classic corporate environment. However, it is always hard to say goodbye to a close colleague.
Therefore we prefer to say a simple “Thank you!” instead. Thank you to our marketing manager Teddy Alexieva who is leaving the team to pursue exciting new career opportunities beyond OS.University. Teddy was instrumental to building our community of 60,000+ members, distributed across nations and continents. We will continue to benefit from the results of her work and build upon them.
Are you interested to join our team as an intern in our Sofia headquarters or work remotely on the world’s learning and development ledger? If so, check our open opportunities and contact us at hello@os.university.
