WHO IS PUSHING YOU?

Three people (types) you need in/around you

WHO IS PUSHING YOU?

A very pertinent question. As an individual, as a marketer, who is pushing you?
The ego will step in immediately with a response, “I am a self-driven person. I don’t need anybody to push me.”

Fair enough. The first push is always internal.
After the first few self-pushes, then what?

This is the sixth in my Quad series of #AlternativeLearning.
Today’s session was with Coach Kavya and she had a rigorous High-intensity workout planned.

Three blocks of exercises. Each block had six sets meant to squeeze out the effort in twenty-second bursts. Six sets, well, she said the first three sets we have to push ourselves. The next three, belonged to her!
The last three sets that were driven by the coach saw a significant uptick in performance amongst all the participants.

I will repeat the earlier question here.

After the first few self-pushes, then what?

You need a mentor.
You need a tribe.
And you need some competition!

  • The mentor is there to push you to the next level.
  • Your tribe, those interested in you and your growth, are there to nudge you out of your comfort zone. They are always around to break your fall and guide you back on track.
  • And competition. You can hate them, or use them to push yourself some more.

All towards moving to the next level in your self-set objective, and that of the turbo-boosted transition push by your mentor.

After each set, as we positioned ourselves for the next set of exercises, a voice chimed in sweetly. Of course, this was Coach Kavya in my ear:

“I don’t intend to be anal about your transition, but it would help if you’re slightly faster!!!”

THAT PUSH…..

So, the big question: Who’s pushing you?
