The Bookshelf

Akin to a bookshelf, you are a sturdy and reliable constant in one’s life. You mark time with no complaint, instead, you stand tall and silent, even as your are anchored down with weight, and only marginally relieved when books are taken of your shelves to be read. Through all the flotsam you collect — matrixes of thought, ideas bound by spines — you seem to give order to the chaos. Although you don’t hold the walls up, you are a barrier of the mind, that has a tendency to crumble under pressure. You never receive the thanks you deserve; you are content with what you are doing, and it is thanks enough.

Matt Querzoli is offering up his compliments for use by the general public. The general public is welcome. Follow his writing blog, his letters to strangers blog or his blog blog if you liked the post, or even the bloke himself if this tickled your proverbial pickle.
