WKU Football’s recent recruiting momentum continued on Tuesday afternoon, as the Hilltoppers garnered a commitment from Douglas County’s (GA) Travis Collier

The 6'2 185 lb Douglasville, Georgia native is listed as an athlete on 247 Sports. He isn’t yet rated by the recruiting service but lists offers from Troy, Akron and a handful of FCS programs. Here is a link to his junior highlight tape via Max Preps.

Collier mainly played defense on an 8–3 Douglas County team. Finishing with a pass deflection and a blocked punt in 7 games. While listed as an athlete on 247, his commitment tweet has him listed as a defensive back. He runs a 4.49 forty yard dash and will be able to match-up well against taller receivers. Defensive line coach, Jimmy Lindsey continues to clean up in the Peach State. WKU currently has 17 players from Georgia on the active roster including DeAngelo Malone, Jacquez Sloan & Jaden Hunter.

Collier is now the third member of the 2020 recruiting class for WKU joining recent commits Shamar Sandgren & Colt Jackson. After a slow start to recruiting in 2020, the Hilltopper program appears to be hitting their stride.
