The Resilients
Navigating and birthing the world to come beyond borders
Note from the editor

Mai Anne is an independent art director and copywriter specializing in editorial design, identity and signs. After growing up in Asia and Africa, she settles in Paris where she studies humanities, economy and mathematics (HEC preparation), before obtaining a Master’s degree in Art Direction (EPSAA). From her experience in the Netherlands (Trapped in Suburbia), she inherits a committed approach to design. Over the years and with a strong passion for philosophy, she goes on to build a humanist plural approach reconciling word and image. To build bridges. To question the norm through the sensitive. To create meaning, in other words connexions. From these desires derives a long-term research: Speechless, “a nonverbal language for the world to come.” In 2017, Mai Anne writes the introduction of Musée Immédiat, a photo-documentary book on historiography and the post-Soviet issue, by Essarter Publishings. She then extends her take on conflict inside art magazine Pli (“Tender Divides”, 2017). Eventually releasing “To Mourn a Loved One is to Mourn the World” in 2019 inside Yggdrasil: a magazine on collapse and rebirth cofounded by Pablo Servigne.
