It might feel to those looking for a new apartment in Toronto that there just aren’t that many available. And there aren’t. According to the CMHC, Toronto has a 1.1% rental vacancy rate, well below the 3–4% considered ideal for a healthy housing market.

Last week, Housing Matters made a deputation for the Toronto and East York Community Council on the inclusion to the City of Toronto Heritage Register of 21 properties on Broadview Avenue, and another 24 properties on College Street.

We recently made a deputation for the Planning & Growth Management Committee on TOCore, the Downtown Secondary Plan.
