How To Submit To A Publication — Step by Step Guide 2024
Written for readers and new writers who want to share sincerely
For none-members, you can read the full article for free with this friend link.
Some of our readers have profound experiences and unique insights from their Journeys, but they may have never tried sharing their stories with others, especially on a platform like Medium that reaches 1 billion readers globally.
Yet, we all know that when we share our true feelings and real experiences, the energy we convey is immense. Our most sincere thoughts and every subtle feeling will resonate with someone. The information and energy we transmit will expand globally through every connection. When we value our experiences and believe that our experiences will help others like us, we naturally want to share our stories.
Moreover, the significance of this journey itself is our self-growth and the evolution of collective consciousness that comes with our progress.
Isn’t it so? Each of us, each story, each experience has an unpredictable impact on the community we live in. If you wish to convey positive energy, we can always transform it into action.
Never ever underestimate your power.
You need to truly understand this statement — this is the essence of The Journey itself.
So I want to write this content to provide a more detailed operational guide. The process of submitting to a publication on Medium might be unfamiliar to many new authors.
Step by Step guide to submit your story to a publication
Enjoy expressing yourself, share what you really want to share with people. Write what you most want to write; this way, every word of yours carries immense energy and will receive joyful feedback.
2. After writing your article, Medium will automatically save it as a draft. To access your drafts, click on your profile picture in the top right-hand corner and select “Stories.” This will bring you to your drafts page. From there, click on the draft of the story you wish to submit.
3. After selecting your article, look at the top right corner of your screen again and click on the three dots icon. This will open a drop-down menu.
4. Next, you need to click on add to the publication.
5. Next, submit it to your selected publication. You’ll see a green dot indicating your choice. Click on “Select and continue.”
6. You will then see this screen (if you haven’t subscribed, “email a link to my subscribers” will not be shown). You should then add up to five tags. You then click on submit to the publication.
After opening the Medium Partner Program, you can put your article behind a paywall. It is recommended to do this as it will better motivate us to continue writing and sharing our stories.
For articles submitted to Twin Flame, one of the tags must be Twin Flame as this will increase the likelihood of readers discovering your article.
If you are sharing your real experiences, it is recommended to add the tag Twin Flame Story.
Make sure to add 5 tags to increase the chances of your article being read. Here are some tags I often use:
relationships
love
spirituality
awakening
self-love
self-growth
self-improvement
self-awareness
divine feminine
7. Great! You’ve successfully submitted your article. The publication will now review your piece and decide whether to publish it.
This is a fundamental guide, but I hope it assists new members of the Medium platform. There are various methods to submit to a publication, and this is just one of the easiest.
Additional note: How to submit a published article
We encourage submitting drafts, and usually, we do not recommend submitting already published articles; if there are special circumstances, please kindly leave a note, and we will decide based on the situation.
- Click on the three dots on the article screen and select Edit story
2. Click on Add to publication
3. Then choose Twin Flame and Click on Add story. It’s done, our editors will do the remain work.
Twin Flame received over 20,000 reads in the first two months, and now we are looking for new Writers! The detailed submission guidelines can be found in this article.
We’ve also started a small, simple community for readers to connect and share with each other:
