Nothing Liberals Believe is True
Half of the country has a worldview based on lies.
The country is being intentionally lied to.
In what has become a recurring theme here, I am once again returning to the well of our corrupt media and how they keep half the country living in an alternate reality. This is not an accident. This is not a “both sides” issue.
To push a left-wing narrative and gain political power, Democrats, the so-called news media and social media platforms have deliberately colluded to suppress the truth and outright lie to the American public about numerous topics.
Now that some of the ways this is happening are being exposed, leftists are not willing to hear it. No matter how many Biden voters come forward and say how it happens, they are dismissed as fringe crackpots and suddenly become right-wingers, no matter their liberal bona fides.
Elon Musk had long been a liberal in good standing. Owning a Tesla was a left-wing status symbol showcasing one’s dedication to “fighting climate change.” Which, considering the environmental damage strip mining rare minerals and shipping them around the globe for processing with toxic chemicals does, is laughable. But that will be the topic of another article about how nothing liberals believe is true.
But then Musk had to go and use his big brain and start saying and doing unapproved things with the fortune he made off of liberals and government subsidies. Suddenly he’s the next Hitler. After Trump, DeSantis, Romney and George W Bush that is.
Why are leftists so outraged that a rich guy bought a social media company? None of the same people complained when another of the world’s richest men, Jeff Bezos, bought the Washington Post. So why do they care so much about Musk and Twitter?
Because Musk promised to bring transparency and end censorship.
As part of this effort, Musk opened the vault of internal Twitter communications and gave access to three liberal journalists. These journalists have been posting an ongoing series of Twitter threads called the #TwitterFiles. The House of Representatives held a hearing allowing two of the main reporters to testify about what they have found going through the trove of internal communications.

What was the Democrat response to this disturbing revelation? Was there shock and outrage at this free speech chilling collusion between the government and private sector? Not exactly.
Stacey Plaskett (D–V.I.) got the ball rolling by referring to Taibbi and Shellenberger as “so-called journalists.” (Taibbi responded by pointing out that he has won multiple journalism awards, including the National Magazine Award.) Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D–Texas) seized upon the idea that perhaps the pair — she actually referred to them as part of a “threesome” with journalist Bari Weiss — had perhaps been paid to provide such testimony. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D–Fla.) took this line of inquiry a bit further, ludicrously suggesting that somehow Taibbi’s reporting was suspect because he had grown his own Twitter following and Substack readership because of it.
I haven’t followed the ongoing reporting terribly closely, but then I saw this tweet where the minders openly discuss censoring the truth. Not conspiracy theories. Truth. Why would they want to censor the truth?
I highly recommend reading the rest of the linked thread. Taibi goes on to show how other thought crimes like not being pro-Ukraine enough are flagged and censored. It’s truly chilling.
Opening the vault and shining light on exactly how the censorship and misinformation regime worked is an unforgivable sin in the Church of the Left. So now Musk, leftwing journalist Matt Taibbi and Dr. Michael Shellenberger, both Biden voters, have been dismissed as a “so-called journalist” and crackpot.
I can only hope that their treatment serves as a red pill for them and others.
Then another noted left-winger guilty of wrong think, Naomi Wolf, tweeted out a link to her substack post, in which she admits to having fallen for numerous media lies, and hints at beginning to question her worldview because so much of it was based on being lied to.

I believed that Pres Trump instigated the riot at the Capitol — because I did not know that his admonition to his supporters to assemble “peacefully and patriotically” had been deleted from all of the news coverage that I read. Because of lies such as these in legacy media — lies which I and millions of others believed — half of our nation’s electorate was smeared and delegitimized, and I myself was misled. (emphasis added)
Will any of this open more eyes?
Or will Yuri Bezmenov be proven correct? How many will refuse to believe the true facts put in front of their faces? How many will continue to believe the lies they have been fed by the corrupt media?
