Verasity’s Marketing Just Took a Step Up

Welcome Maryam Mahjoub, our new CMO.

Verasity is excited to announce the hiring of its new Chief Marketing Officer, Maryam Mahjoub. Maryam joins us with nearly 20 years of marketing experience focusing on software technology in security, health-tech and blockchain. She has worked with names like HL7, ConsenSys, and Cardano Foundation. During her time at Cardano Foundation, she was recognized as one of the top marketers in blockchain by Flipside Crypto. She holds her Master’s of Science in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Denver and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

Verasity looks to Maryam to help identify key audiences across our various products, perfect our messaging and ensure we are delivering the caliber of content that reflects the excellence of our technology. We have a bright future ahead with some exciting new partnerships and announcements — and look forward to Maryam only helping to improve it with her strategic marketing skills.

How Maryam landed in blockchain

Maryam got into blockchain in early 2019 when joining PegaSys, the protocol arm of ConsenSys. Coming from health data management and dealing with the costs and challenges from a centralized system, she quickly recognized the value of a distributed ledger. In her own words, “What really excited me about blockchain was its vast applications to so many existing challenges — and across so many sectors. Coming from health-tech, I could easily see the application in managing personal health records on the blockchain. Evolving to today, where I’ve worked on applications in fin-tech, supply chain management, and now to gaming and ad-tech. It’s a really exciting time to be a part of such innovation.”

Considering our Proof of View technology can help resolve the cost of bots in the ad-tech space, nearly 40% of all video ad spend, we share Maryam’s enthusiasm in the space. Blockchain, to many, is considered the most revolutionary technology since the internet.

Three random facts about Maryam

Maryam’s curiosity doesn’t end at blockchain. She’s lived in 15 cities across seven countries in three continents, including Dubai, New York City, Mexico City, London and Vancouver.

Her trusty sidekick, Carina, a rescue dog from Detroit, has joined her on all of her adventures since 2017. The pair have been inseparable since day one.

The most unique thing about Maryam isn’t about her at all as she says “I think I’m pretty boring compared to my sister who actually ran away to join the circus — she’s an aerialist who has performed in the Maldives, China and across Canada.”

This is now available for over 2 million video publishers struggling to survive on low advertising revenues.

Verasity Revenues
