All the ways in
Pale dewy remnants
Of night’s slumber swept away
By dawn’s fierce approach
Your love was the key
To open the door of my
Locked heart, forever
Born in a snowstorm -
fitting for Canadian sisters giving birth to daughters.
Split open
Perfectly juicy
Irresistibly ripe plum
Fills my mouth with joy
Within
allowing space for
all sorrow and sensation
cultivating peace
Calm Abandon
Chaos tamed one breath
At a time, well aware of
This precious moment
(a poem for two voices, read separately as Her Strength in bold font and His Strength in italics or together, as is)
On the edge
Her legs dangling, precariously
