Cold Work Permit

The cold work permits are given before any work which will not involve the use of naked flames or produce any source of ignition ,performed which has no possibility of heat generation.

Produce any source of ignition..

The Cold Work Permit will be issued as a minimum, but not exhaustively for following activities:

It will be issued (not exhaustively) for following activities:

1-Dismantling or maintenance of safety critical equipment;

2-Whenever it is required to manage simultaneous operations that might clash one with the other;

3-Working in places where dangerous machinery may be operated remotely;

4-Dismantling or maintenance of machinery/ equipment which may contain residual energy;

5-Working at height, including scaffolding;

6-Non-routine complex/heavy lifts;

7-Pressure testing;

8-Painting.

The Cold PTW will be utilized for activities capable of non-generating or not using sources of ignition;
