Working at Height Level 1 Training

The subject of my training is Permit to Work Systems.

My publication will take about 2 hour with reading totally. I have divided my publication into seven parts.

1st Part: Natural Requirement of a Work Permit. I will give a few basic definitions regarding to permit to work system.

2nd Part: Formal Ways Definition

3th Part: When is PTW required?

4th Part: Permit to Work Family

5th. Part: Simultaneous Operations

6th Part: Examples of tasks requiring PTW

7 th Part: I give you some facts and figures regarding to practicle example PTW and How we can organize Permit to Work Systems

First I asked this question Why we need to use permit to systems on working area ?

I’ll be perfectly honest.

Because we having contracts on sites if major accident was occurred and large companies pay large compensation so its important to get to permit system working correctly.

After Accident %95 percentage workers (not management side) start to How much money can I get from a work accident.

The Safe Work Permit is useful for:

1-The safety of persons in charge of the work

2-The safety of persons in charge of the process

3-The risk management of the process and equipment

As you know that, many accidents have occurred due to lack of Work Permit.

After accident a lot of people speaks differently ! Trust me, no he did wear safety harness, i take photo and warned him etc..

So we should have a system in place that tell us who’s responsible for authorized in particular be the

1-Hot work activity

(welding, cutting, grinding etc.)

2-Confined space entry procedure and working safely in confined space

Tanks, manhol, silos etc.

3-Working at Height activity

Scaffold, manlift, platform or any falling risk (no 1.8 meter — any level difference)

4- LOTO and Electrical activity

Working on medium voltage electrical panel as simple maintenance

Foremost as we have got clear identification of the types of work that we consider hazardous and risk factor.

It is easy to see the risk of slipping but can be difficult to avoid on any surface especially in winter conditions…

We shoud have standardized identification of the task the risk assestment process permitted touch duration.

Every team members should involved risk assestment made up process. Especially site supervisor, formen, site engineer etc.. I dont mean that acountant :)

So What we’re looking for here is the task is clearly identified all personel will recognize in standardized format.
