Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a simple mean of looking at the work task and considering what is the safest way to complete it.

Risk Assessment or JSA should be attached to the PtW

To Ensure That Potentially Conflicting Activities Are Not Performed

To İnform The Personnel About The Risk Evaluation During The TBT;

To Evaluate The Necessity Of A HEIC;

A Mitigation Measure Required İn The PTW

JSA is a way of becoming aware of the hazards involved in doing the job and taking action to prevent an injury.

Four basic stages in conducting a JSA are:

1.selecting the job to be analyzed;

2.breaking the job down into a sequence of steps;

3.identifying potential hazards;

4.determining preventive measures to overcome these hazards.

JSA filling example

Job Safety Analysis: Process shoud be divided by steps

1.Each step recorded in sequence

2. Each item is started with an action erect, install, place, use, hoist …etc…

3. Note what is done, not how it is done

Think the hazards and resulted risk

4-Evaluate and discuss each potential hazard, identifying the types of injuries that might occur.

5-Be sure to include those hazards that have a low occurrence rate or are unlikely to happen.

Physical Hazards (access, heights, electricity, noise, vibration)

Mechanisms of Injury (crush, strike against, slips, falls, overexertion)

Environmental Factors (lighting, heat, cold, pollution)

Personal Factors (competency, training, fitness, fatigue)
