DAR Open Network Explained Series Part #3: How to be a Part of the Multiverse
Welcome to Part 3 of our DAR Open Network Explained series, where we’ll introduce how to become a part of the Dalarnia Multiverse.
The Dalarnia Multiverse is ever-expanding. More game projects will be added over time. To achieve this, the Dalarnia Launchpad comes into play. It acts as your gateway to a multiverse filled with innovative play-to-earn experiences.
Community-powered Ecosystem
Before we discuss how projects can be integrated as a part of the Dalarnia Multiverse, let’s understand how DAR Open Network gives power to the community through Dalarnia Launchpad.
The Launchpad isn’t just about discovering new games; it’s about shaping the future of the Dalarnia Multiverse with your help. Therefore, we believe that you, the players, the community, have a vital role to play. How?
The community will be involved in every stage of the development.
- Playtesting and Feedback: We will have a dedicated prototype section on the Dalarnia Launchpad where the internal development teams can share Proof of Concept prototypes for the community to try and play firsthand, and provide valuable feedback.
- Voting: Based on the playtesting, the community will then vote whether a project fits to be integrated in the Multiverse. (Note that voting will not apply to Dalarnia Legends and Dalarnia Nexus).
Projects that fall short of expectations based on community feedback, key performance indicators (KPIs), and improvement proposals may be revisited or canceled to ensure we focus resources on the most promising prototypes.
Game Categories on the Dalarnia Launchpad
The Dalarnia Launchpad offers two categories of games:
- First Party Games: These are core projects developed within the DAR ecosystem and are the foundation of the Dalarnia Multiverse, all using $DAR as their native currency. You might already be familiar with Mines of Dalarnia, our space mining adventure game! Then there’s Dalarnia Legends, our upcoming strategic card game under development, and Dalarnia Nexus, our gamified social platform in the Multiverse.
- Partnered Games: This category welcomes external developers and studios to join the Dalarnia Multiverse. We’ll explore how they can integrate their projects in future articles.
Partnered Games Onboarding Process
To be one of our Partnered Games, there’s a structured onboarding process to ensure quality and suitability for the Dalarnia Multiverse. This process consists of three key stages:
1. Project Submission
The first stage involves developers submitting their projects for review by the DAR Open Network team. This comprehensive review process covers several aspects, including:
- Team Due Diligence: The team assesses the experience and capabilities of the development team.
- Game Design and Project Review: This review focuses on the core gameplay, tokenomics, and overall concept of the game.
- Smart Contract Reviews: Here, the security and functionality of the game’s smart contracts are meticulously examined.
2. Basic Integration
Projects that successfully pass the initial review process will progress to Basic Integration. This stage involves adding the game to the Dalarnia Launchpad, enabling them to benefit from various integration features, including:
- DAR ID Integration: The games will leverage DAR ID for seamless account management, incorporating functionalities like crypto onboarding solutions and token swap capabilities. We will share more details about DAR ID integration in a dedicated article.
- NFT Collection Listing on the Dalarnia Marketplace: Players can discover and acquire in-game NFTs directly through the Dalarnia Marketplace, fostering a vibrant in-game economy.
3. Full Integration (For Established Projects)
The final stage of the onboarding process is Full Integration, reserved for well-established projects with a proven track record. The Dalarnia community can propose games for consideration for Full Integration.
Full Integration grants projects comprehensive utilization of the Dalarnia Portal functionalities for developers, enabling features like:
- Cross-Game Experiences: Full access to the Dalarnia Quest System to create and participate in exciting, multi-game experiences.
- Enhanced NFT Utility: Mandatory asset interoperability with at least Dalarnia Nexus, boosting the utility and value of NFTs for the community.
- Smoother Player Onboarding: Access to Moon Coins, the in-game currency of the Dalarnia Multiverse, simplifies onboarding for new players.
- Exclusive Citizen Benefits: Integration with the DAR Citizenship system allows projects to offer unique benefits to DAR Citizens.
