This article on setting up your pre-paid (burner) phone, the different plans you can buy and where to buy them (in person and online).

is a free and reliable app you can use to make/receive calls, as well as text other with.
Otherwise, there are paid VoIP Services you can look up, but they can get pricey each month.
We’ll go over US and Global Options (in terms of services, numbers and apps), that may come in handy for you.

Importance of Multiple Numbers for Victims
Getting new numbers while your escaping will be critical to your safety, by allowing you to confuse information about yourself (collected by online advertisers-data brokers) and allow you to mislead your abuser/stalker.
The first couple places you hide out, you can intentionally leak numbers you know you will not be using again.
This way, if and when they find the area codes/number, (whether through a forum online that you “placed” your number in,
that you set up with a deceptive Facebook account used to mislead them,
- That you’ll never use and
- Contains all fake and misleading information),
- They will see the wrong number (that maybe still rings).
If the Abuser Gets Determined
When they start searching through data brokers, the numbers that come up, all have different area codes, which will confuse them.
The Desire for More Numbers
In addition, you will find the desire to have more than one number.
I can’t explain it, but you just will.

My preferred way: Burner Phones
The easiest, is to go to Walmart/Target, and pay in cash for the phone and plan, a cheap pre-paid phone.
Still, I want you to have OPTIONS.
Options Principle
What I learned along the way, was the options I had to choose from, made all the difference.
Whether it was addresses to use, places to live, payments methods, emails, numbers.
More options, helped.
They either made me:
Safe, safer, or bought me some more time.
Sometimes, they just gave me peace of mind or made my life a little easier too.

Why international numbers?
This can be used to make it look like you’re in a different country.
And, if you’re in a small country, you may need to change countries to escape.

It will be good to have a few address options you can use, which I go more into other articles.
For now, Google “Virtual Addresses/Mailing Options”.
Some of these are land based, and can be used as a physical address in certain circumstances.
