You stand on the shoulders of giants that came before you. Our Fraternity has been impacted by so many brothers and friends over the years. You have the ability to be the next agent of change by taking on important social media projects.

We have a culture here at SigEp headquarters — CADIF, which means Commitment, Attention to Detail, Immediate Follow Up. You’ll help craft the voice for the premiere student organization and a valued partner in higher education. You’ll also be expected to hold yourself to higher standards and live our mantra of CADIF.

Don’t worry, we’re going to have fun, be creative and help take our digital media presence to the next level. I’ll rely on you to come up with new ideas and partake in the latest trends. Your role is to help build awareness and affinity for SigEp in a way that models the way, inspires a shared vision, and encourages the heart of every brother and friend out there.

Let’s get to work. You will immediately dive into some of the following projects:

  • Update and maintain our roster of all of our chapters and their social media accounts.
  • Establishing a plan for engaging content and scheduling it at least three months in advance.
  • Capture and represent the SigEp experience and what we mean by #VDBL.
  • Discover and write about what is happening on college campuses.
  • And, I want you to come up with ideas we haven’t even thought of yet.
  • Learn more about some of the benefits to becoming our intern!

You think you have what it takes to join our team? If so, review the official social media intern job description and send your resume to aaron.ledesma@sigep.net with the subject line “Social Media Intern” by May 20. Try to stand out and grab our attention with your email!

Finally, please DO NOT write a cover letter. Instead, write a Medium post — respond to this post — that explains why you would be a good fit for this role. You can create an unlisted post if you prefer that this letter is not public. (Be sure to include this link in your email to me.)

Questions? Let me know over email, Twitter or LinkedIn.

Inspired by Open letter to my next intern by my friend and mentor, Tim Cigelske.
