Press the Nothing Button, a Short Love Story
Apropos of Nothing w. Bob & Matt
by Bob Molenda
Looky, looky for Nothing at the Fakery . I overheard this conversation between one of the castle’s keepers and learned something about nothing. There are no guarantees, but you can press the Nothing Button and see what can happen when you do press it. Another adventure with nothing in particular. The big question is, “Did Elżbieta press it?”
Matt made a big deal about including a link to some previous nonsense from us. I don’t care much, but he seems to be a little needier than I….Here is the Link: DA Link. Here are even more links for those of you who have Nothing else to do: Who is Matt? Who is Bob?
This is the ‘Nothing’ button. Let me explain.
Elżbieta was looking at the button for a long time. If she pressed it, she wondered what it would do, where would it lead her.
“Was it a scam? Would it take her nowhere? If it took her somewhere, it could not possibly be a ‘Nothing’ button,” she thought.
Nothing is nowhere! If it were somewhere, it would not be nothing.
You see, it has no weight, no mass, it has no location. But that is not true either. Nothing is everywhere sometimes.
Nobody has seen it, nothing that is. Nobody has heard it. They all know of it. Is there a ‘Fake’ Nothing?
We can write about it, nothing again. When we do, it no longer is nothing. Nothing departs instantly when it becomes something. No Goodbyes from Nothing!
If the button exists, it can be everywhere. There it is on your own smart device, right now. If we both press the button, will it take us to the same place? If it does, that would be something. If it took us to different places at the same time, that might be something else. If it did either, it would in each case no longer be nothing. If it did neither, nothing would then make sense.
Where does nothing go after it becomes something?
What if nothing happened when she pressed the ‘Nothing’ button? What does Elżbieta expect of Nothing? What can anyone learn from Nothing?
Can you Trust Nothing? Is Nothing Trustworthy anymore?
Elżbieta, looks at Skarbie, (pronounced ‘Skarrrbiyeh’ and roll the ‘r’) the tiny person on her left shoulder whispering into her ear.
He knows her and says, “Go Ahead, Press it!” Skarbie is her mischievous friend, who always makes Elżbieta laugh. “Are you a risk taker or are you one of those accountants or worse yet, an attorney?” playfully, he asked.
Elżbieta laughed and said, “I am neither of them.”
“One is a counter of beans, the other deals with fairness and justice about the beans of others,” continued the laughing girl.
He says that you need to press it, the button, that is, just a touch, just to see if it does Nothing. It is Free and so are you! Everything starts with Nothing. “Trust Me!” he whispers.
Listen to Skarbie, simply because his Polish name means ‘Treasure’.
“Will you come with me, little one?” she asks.
“No, my friend”, he answers, “If I go with you we can enjoy Nothing together. If we are apart, we can enjoy Everything”.
Your friend across the pond,
Bob
Who are Matt & Bob?
Don’t Ask , just push the Buttons…there could be a wait.
Epilog About Nothing
This is the fourth installment of nothing and its many uses. We are trying to determine if anyone gives a rip about nothing anymore. If it is of any interest to anyone, we are experimenting with nothing.
If you press on any of the buttons, nothing may happen. We are not responsible for that. Sometime there are code errors and something may come of nothing. If that happens, we are not responsible for that either. Our oath on this venture was that we would be accountable or responsible for nothing.
The present love story really was satire. I tried to explain this to Matt, but he stubbornly refuses to understand. Be patient with him, he is just beginning to learn nothing. But I digress. The last story was a satire about satire.
Sometime in the future, Matt will get around to writing a response and there will be a link here with some kind of reward for becoming a supporter of nothing. That medallion will very likely be nothing. Here is that LINK to the next Article (#5). It serves us well to not rush nothing before its time.
