This post may not be true — or entirely true — for everybody but it is a life hack nonetheless for the few it speaks to.
I left my parent’s home at age 21 (sometime in 2010 — guess my age right now).
This is one of the best decisions I have ever made in life.
There are two important lessons I learned from that decision, and I’ll share them in a bit.
But before that, I want to give you the background story.
I had just completed my high school education. I had dreamt of being an Accountant someday, but it was such a tough time for my family that my parents couldn’t afford to sponsor my college education.
So I lost track of my ambition to get a higher education — but I didn’t abandon it.
Four years after I left high school, I was yet to gain college admission.
I was doing menial jobs at that time to support my family. And of course, I was one of the very few who ran the hood where we lived — local champion stuff.
