How I became a full time traveller

Hi, I’m Lauren Winslow-Llewellyn

It’s a long name, I know, apparently my parents didn’t think about a surname until my sister was born two years before me and there was an argument about whose surname the newborn would get.

My dad was shocked that it wasn’t automatically his but my mum didn’t back down and thus I am now named after both of them.

It’s a complete hindrance when it comes to filling out forms but anyway, that’s the first part out the way, my name.

Where I’m from

I was born in Camden Town, a punk and rock’n’roll neighbourhood of London, England. It wasn’t an ideal play-ground for a toddler so when I was 8 my parents moved us south to the rolling green pastures and wavy sea of Sussex which is where I call ‘home’ but in theory I don’t have a home.

Sussex is nice but I’d like it a lot more if there were mountains, bears and orcas there.

Life as an art student

It’s funny to think about now but back at college I was studying art and photography with the dream of becoming a fashion designer.
