If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve felt it too — that uneasy feeling in your chest before speaking up in a meeting, the second-guessing after sending an email, or the fear that your colleagues are quietly critiquing every move you make.
For the longest time, I carried this fear like an invisible backpack — heavy, draining, and always present. I was doing great work, hitting targets, and receiving positive feedback, yet deep down, I was anxious. Not because I couldn’t perform, but because I was constantly afraid of being judged.
This is a story about that fear, and more importantly, how I started to overcome it.
Where the Fear Began
For me, it wasn’t one moment — it was a buildup. As I moved into higher-pressure roles and started working with more experienced teams, imposter syndrome began to creep in. Every idea I had felt too basic. Every question I asked seemed like one I should already know the answer to.
