I’m Sarah Writtenhouse and I am a writer.
I’ve been writing all my life, mostly short stories about peculiar things going on around me and informational pieces about current events and technology.
But until recently, I’d never finished a single article. I’d get started with a great idea and then get stuck or distracted. Instead of finishing it, I’d get another great new idea and start another one. My half-written library of 356 story beginnings sits idle in a folder on my Google drive.
When I joined Medium I resolved to finally finish and publish a story. I was terrified to finally commit to a final draft, but I finished one despite my reservations.
It was exciting (and scary) to finally press the Publish button, but it was even more exciting to see that someone actually read it!
Since then, I’ve continued to write and I’ve finished (and published) several more stories. I’ve become obsessed with completing and publishing all of those drafts. Now, I can’t remember why I was afraid of it…
I write with sarcasm and irony, but it is meant to be light-hearted fun. Don’t take me too seriously. I may take on…
