I am writing this article this from my cozy apartment in Casablanca, Morocco, where the evening light filters through the window as I prepare for another night of words. When I’m not immersed in my role as an HR professional, where I specialize in Talent Acquisition and onboarding for the IT field, I find delightful solace in the world of words and poetry.

From HR to Open Mics

My journey into Human Resources began at age 22, with a deep-seated interest in understanding people and what makes them who they are. Their passion, most importantly. Studying HR felt like a surnatural progression,( I might tell you the full story later ;) ) , but I soon found myself navigating the fast-paced world of IT, connecting talented minds with the opportunities that best suit their potential. But my passion for connection doesn’t stop at work — outside the office, I channel my energy into writing. I’ve always been a fan of slam poetry, the way words can capture a moment, a feeling, or a fleeting thought. Over the years, I’ve shared my poems during numerous open mics and poetry events, where the delicate energy and reality of live performance pushes me to express my most authentic self.

A Milestone: My First Novel

My passion for writing recently culminated in the publication of my first novel — Agatha’s Odyssey. It was a project that’s been a labor of love, passion, pain and a reflection of a woman’s journey. It’s a story written with the threads of what I have observed, and lived, the people I’ve met, and the stories I’ve heard along the way. Writing this novel was definitely much an exploration of myself as it was of the characters and worlds I created.

Bridging Worlds at AMLD AFRICA

In the voluntary sphere, one of the projects I’m most proud of was serving as an ambassador for the AI event, AMLD AFRICA. I finallt expressed my interest in the future of work and technology. It was a unique opportunity to explore how AI can enhance human potential — a theme that resonates deeply with my work in talent acquisition.

Finding Balance

Balancing these two worlds — HR and writing — has been both challenging and rewarding. Each feeds into the other, creating a cycle of inspiration and growth. Whether I’m helping someone find their dream job or crafting the next line of poetry, I’m driven by the same goal: to connect, to understand, and to make an impact.

- What is writing to me ?

- A rollercoaster ride of euphoria and heartache. The « how » to my soul’s’ silenced whispers and oppressed feelings. I only ever found solace in writing; slowly stitching the shattered fragments of my heart onto a blank canvas of paper. Just like a painting, a heart-wrenching one. It is a revelation — a revelation of an innermost self that has only been hidden for so long. My very own sigh of vulnerability in emotion, in feelings, in thoughts, and everything in between. A cathartic release, laying bare the echoic wrecks of life, the unspoken words, the unrequited feelings ; the love tales, the love. Simply, the love.
