Editing is an obsession of mine.
This is common among writers. We are perfectionists.
To be fair, I wouldn’t say I’m a perfectionist in all areas of life, but with writing, I want to put my best words forward. My foot can follow me later.
Crichton’s quote resonates with the editor in me. It is not enough to write and submit. All writing needs to be reviewed. I love reading my words out loud. Hearing them helps with wordiness, awkward sentences, and grammar.

My Experiment
