My love for miniatures was sparked about a year ago, it started with the purchase of tiny cereal boxes from Etsy. I printed them, cut them & glued them together (using the end of a floss pick to apply the glue) and was immediately hooked! No, not hooked…..Obsessed!
It is very relaxing to shop for or create the next thing to add to the mini house, I absolutely love it. I can’t articulate exactly why and what it is that draws people to miniatures…. So I went to the internet to find out…
Turns out that we can actually get a sense of fulfillment from collecting these things. For example when people (and I mean adults) collect car and boat figurines, they can reap emotional rewards that they may not be able to achieve otherwise.
