Blaming others is easy.

That’s why we do it.

It’s a lot easier than looking at ourselves and taking full responsibility for the life we create for ourselves.

In the movie A Few Good Men, Jack Nicholson’s character famously says, “You can’t handle the truth.”

The truth is, we create our own lives. True, life happens, and we might feel that things are not going our way. However, regardless of what’s happening around us, we are the only ones responsible for how we think — positively or negatively. That’s where our power lies: in our thinking.

And another truth is, negative thinking only hurts us at the end of the day.

Reflecting on my own journey, I’ve done my fair share of blaming external factors. It felt like an endless cycle of frustration and helplessness. The turning point came when I became aware and decided to take full ownership of my thoughts and actions.
