I quit a 13-year corporate career in December 2020 and finally took the plunge to run my coaching business full-time. The pandemic was a big catalyst for a dream slowly dying inside me.

The Regrets

If I can express my regrets first, I wish I had done this in my twenties. So, this is for anybody in their twenties reading this:

If ever you have an idea or a dream project but you are scared because it is not a typical career path, please give it a shot. You have nothing to lose.

The reason why I am happily surviving this first year of business, which is crucial in shaping the next phase of my life, is the lack of obligations: no debt and no family to take care of.

In a way, I had nothing to show for it: no house under my name, no car lease, no loan, and no happy anniversary pictures either.
