This is according to Jenny Rafanomezana, CEO of Trutrade based in rural Kenya and Uganda.

“Beyonic is supporting us by integrating our platform with theirs to ensure that we can pay our farmers directly in the field on their mobile phones in future, making transactions faster, safer and fairer than before,” said Rafanomezana.

She adds that Beyonic is personalizing Trutrade’s needs by developing features to assist their growth in order to support more small-scale farmers. The organisation currently has 2200 farmers and 13 franchises on their platform.

“We used to move cash from our main office to our franchise agents in the field to distribute to farmers during our pilot phase. This was a dangerous and lengthy operation between the office and the farmlands. At that stage our agents’ personal safety was at risk and we were victims of fraud several times,” she adds.

Rafanomezana explains that it would not have been possible for their organisation to pay multiple currencies immediately, and on one platform, if it was not for Beyonic.

“Beyonic is a one stop shop for Trutrade to transfer money across a different number of money mobile wallets across networks instantly and seamlessly, while making it easy to record every single transaction,” she said.

“No one offers the customized and pro-active service Beyonic is offering. Just by making payments on their platform in Uganda account names and numbers are cross-referenced to ensure that the correct payments are made,” she added.

Beyonic has secured contracts with mobile network operators in over 20 African countries, and is currently active in four. In Uganda, their first market offering, has shown over 30% month on month growth for the past year. Beyonic is now serving over 50 large companies and non-profits.
