An Open Letter to Subway: Enough of the Fake Photos and Deli Meat “Tacos” Already.

Look at the photo above. Do you see it?

In every Subway photo, of every Subway sandwich, at every Subway store it’s there — the FAKE SANDWICH. Take a look around next time you’re at Subway, then look at your sandwich. You’ll notice the photos they use look NOTHING like the actual sandwich you get. Why? Because their photos ALWAYS show the veggies at the bottom of the sandwich.

Now call me crazy, but unless the Subway “Sandwich Artist” is purposely making our sandwiches upside-down, the MEAT is always the first thing on the bread, followed by the cheese, then the veggies. Truth is, you will NEVER get a sandwich at Subway that looks exactly like the one in their photos unless you specifically request the veggies first — and good luck with that, especially if it’s busy, you’ll be met with tongue clicking and loud exhales from the people behind you in line — AND the Sandwich Artists themselves — as they all look at you like you’re screwing up the system.

Well, I’m here to tell you the system is already screwed up, and has been for a long time…

No, you will never get a sandwich like the one in the photo (unless you request it), but what you WILL get is something that looks more like a TACO than a sandwich.
