August was a special month for Charged Particles with the launch of our SDK we celebrated a major milestone. We have in conjunction began governance votes for allowlist & UI integration for external contracts, we launched Charged Particles 201 video series, sponsored a hackathon conducted by Macrohacks, getting ready to launch the NFT wallet DApp, have begun secret product development on something big, and more.

The Charged JS-SDK Public Release

We are very proud to announce the culmination of many hard-working hours and much anticipation, our beta SDK release. As a protocol, we can truly now begin to merge with the greater web3 ecosystem and realize our larger vision to provide decentralized tooling and additional functionality to NFTs.

With our SDK, devs can:

  • Interact with and read from the protocol in only a few lines of code
  • Deposit, withdraw, and timelock your NFTs programmatically
  • Integrate Charged Particles into your existing Dapp

At Charged Particles, we provide next-level financial, creative, and technical tooling for your NFTs that allow them to be so much more than just static jpegs. We have worked extensively to make the JS-SDK as easy as possible for any existing web3 developers to start using it in order to integrate the protocol into their own projects.

SDK Here

This is the initial release of our Javascript SDK which provides an easy way to interface with the Charged Particles Universe using Javascript and/or Typescript. Our JS-SDK makes it easy to access all of the features of the Solidity Contracts through a convenient and familiar Javascript interface. Want to Energize an NFT? No problem! Discharge it? Sure! Add Time-locks? Add other Nested NFTs? Release all assets? You got it! And there is so much more!

Projects are beginning the process to integrate our protocol. You can pop into our discord to start a conversation with our team for SDK integration.

Dapp Wallet

We are in the process of getting a public alpha of the NFT wallet which will serve as a “window into your NFTs”. We will also be releasing a developer's starter pack based on the nft-wallet for those who want to start building quickly with Charged Particles. We are constantly adding new NFT projects to our Universe and with our Charged Wallet you will be able to lift the veil of your NFTs and possibly reveal some goodies held within!

Allowlist & UI Integration Voting

We have started with the allowlist and UI Integration voting to allow the community to weigh in on which external contracts we should be allowlisting and adding to the Charged Particles UI. The allowlisted contract will be able to utilize the full capabilities of Charged Particles Protocol which include nesting of tokens inside NFTs, earning yield, time locking tokens, and more. There are weekly votes that are open to voting for two weeks.

We are seeing alot more DAO participation in voting and are encouraging further community participation in the decisions of the protocol. In the month of August, we conducted voting for metaverse spaces, NFT marketplace, and PFP projects and we have more to come. Cryptovoxels is the winner of the metaverse spaces vote which means you can nest tokens inside your Metaverse parcel and make them FULLY FURNISHED parcels. Store your art, voxel furniture, social tokens, and more inside.

You can participate in the protocol decisions here.

Charged Particles 201 video series

We went live with Charged Particles 201 series where we explained how to use the Charged Particles Protocol. In this series, we have covered everything from navigating the Charged Particles website to minting an NFT, depositing assets inside of it (including interest-bearing Aave assets), and time-locking them as well as other useful tools.

Hackathon

We sponsored the hackathon organized by Macrohacks to help innovation in NFT and DeFi space. The hackathon encouraged experimentation in this space and surface the next generation of protocols that enhance the productivity, utility, and financial use cases of NFTs.

Next month, September 21st — 30th we will be hosting our own external hackathon utilizing the SDK. We are excited to see what new concepts and ideas will come to life. If you are interested in participating you can sign up here

DeWork Bounties

We have launched Dework Bounties for contribution to the protocol that includes podcast intros, collaborative NFT bundles, intros to blockchain games for SDK integrations, and more lined up. You can contribute to our ongoing bounties here.

Guild Updates

Ecology Guild

The Ecology Guild had a very busy month filled with exciting plans and upcoming events, thanks to the leadership of Ecology Guild Leader Terexitarius. Return to Green, the organization by Terex that hosted the Return to Green Metaverse Event last month, created a telegram channel in order to focus efforts and contributions towards planning upcoming Refi and Ecology events. You can join here.

There are two upcoming events that the Ecology Guild is working on, one of which is an Art & Metaverse event focused on Mental Health on September 10, and the other is a Refi Metaverse event in October (Day of event TBA) with AgroForestDAO .

Additionally, the Ecology Guild went through some changes to reorganize and refocus the efforts behind Grandmother Grove in order to push the project forward at greater speeds. We are excited to see this longtime Charged Particles Ecology Project get the momentum it deserves and to continue planting trees using the power of our Protocol.

Music Guild

Unchained Music had a very packed month with their team hard at work in revolutionizing the Web3 Music space. Their project was featured in several press features, such as the Coindesk article mentioned earlier, as well as Nasdaq and Yahoo Finance!

Matt Waters joined NFTYQ on their podcast to discuss the project as well as the future of the industry they are working to revolutionizing. NFTYQ created a handy highlight reel thread of major focuses in addition to linking the entire episode here.

And finally Unchained Music released extremely exciting news as they were officially accepted into the “Startup with Chainlink” program, furthering their development and growth as a startup company. And it seemed Chainlink wasn’t the only one excited to work with Unchained Music, as 2000+ users have signed up for the Beta already!

Gaming Guild

The month has been spent well with our Gaming Guild leaders and community working hard on their games, heads down and making progress. Although there isn’t anything specifically to announce or share, we can assure that there is more to come and expect from R. Absurdum and Cybertooth Kat’s respective game projects. So keep an eye out!

Team member spotlight

Max Jackson is our Dev Team Project Manager. He’s also a life-long artist, musician, developer and long-time ETH user. Max first started BUIDLing with crypto in 2014 when he built a dogecoin tip-bot for an online music community. Throughout the years he experimented with social and 1/1 tokens on Bitcoin, and DAOs and NFTs on Ethereum. In early 2020 he discovered cryptoart and he knew he had found his calling. At our Charged Particles launch-day event in February 2021, he made some of his biggest sales to date. His latest project was The Origin, an ERC-1155 edition of 300 which will be redeemable for future limited edition works. You can follow along with Max on Twitter: https://twitter.com/mxjxn.

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 tokens into NFTs. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
