After seeing our SDK successfully launched, September has been a very exciting month with a lot going on in the Charged Particles community. This month we celebrate the continued growth of our integration with the wider Web 3.0 community. With hundreds of downloads of our SDK, weekly governance votes allowlisting external contracts to use our protocol, the launch of our Early Adopter Program, and much more, build season carries on at a rapid pace.

SDK Adoption Grows Strong

Last month we officially launched our SDK. Since then we’ve seen more than 500 downloads and have officially welcomed our first Early Adopter — Cortex Network, a scalable network for publishing, finding and updating Web3 content. The web is content distribution, Cortex makes it simple built on crypto foundations.

The Cortex App can be thought of as a Web3 wallet and wiki in one. This allows users to create pages to publish to Web3, own them, organize them, search and navigate to them. Only the holder of the keys controls the content published. Using the Charged Particles SDK, nesting content with in this publication architecture will be seamlessly integrated and frictionless for users. Entire blocks of web content will be nested inside the NFT that is the website itself.

We expect to see many more projects like this using our SDK to integrate Charged Particles into their platforms and protocols in the coming months.

With our SDK, devs can:

Interact with and read from the protocol in only a few lines of code
Deposit, withdraw, and timelock your NFTs programmatically

Allowlist & UI Integration Voting

Our integration of external contracts continues weekly with new governance votes for allowlisting and UI integration. This means that other NFTs will be able to retroactively use the Charged Particles protocol to nest assets inside their NFTs.

Ape coins nested inside your BAYC. Superare art nested inside your Cryptovoxels parcel. The sky is the limit and we are working our way through the whole ecosystem. Which NFTs should we do next?

DipDAO Uses Vesting Capsules

The core team behind DipDAO and the preeminent Blue Chip NFT have just joined the growing list of projects to utilize the Charged Particles Protocol by using NFTs as “vesting capsules.” Alongside projects like Paragons DAO and Fraktal DAO, Dip DAO has locked the allocated team’s tokens inside their NFTs and locked them for the duration of vesting (1 year) — one in a series of unique innovations being forwarded by the project.

DeFi NFT Viewer

We are in the process of getting a public alpha of the NFT wallet which will serve as a “window into your NFTs”. We will also be releasing a developer’s starter pack based on the nft-wallet for those who want to start building quickly with Charged Particles. We are constantly adding new NFT projects to our Universe and with our Charged Wallet you will be able to lift the veil of your NFTs and possibly reveal some goodies held within!

Upcoming Hackathon

October 19–26th we will be hosting our own external hackathon utilizing the SDK. We are excited to see what new concepts and ideas will come to life. If you are interested in participating you can sign up here

DeWork Bounties

We have launched Dework Bounties for contribution to the protocol that includes podcast intros, collaborative NFT bundles, intros to blockchain games for SDK integrations, and more lined up. You can contribute to our ongoing bounties here.

Unchained Music’s Community Grows

Unchained Music have crossed more than 5000 applicants for their Beta and continue to build a strong community — an incredible milestone in their development.

They have many recurring community activities going on in their Discord server that can earn you their social token NOISE, used to measure community support and contribution. Go jump in to their server and say Charged Particles sent you!

Danil sat down to talk about the origins of Charged Particles, the future of the protocol, as well as experimental uses that could be possible within the protocol’s extensive tools at the weekly Blockparty Twitter Spaces.

Team member spotlight

Santiago is a full-stack web developer and a medical doctor born in Argentina that has lived throughout Latin America, currently based in Buenos Aires. Involved with computers since a child through hacking, gaming, and robotics. He’s been involved in medical informatics improving patients’ quality of care using technology and exploring the intertwine between blockchain and medicine. When not busy coding you may find him enjoying a good book.

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 tokens into NFTs. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
