Leptons Now Functional on Polygon

Let’s first reintroduce you to Leptons. These are a new technology created by the Charged Particles team that are rare limited NFTs that come with additional functionality: they give its owner additional rewards earned on top of the IONX base reward program. There are 6 different Leptons to choose from that vary in their multiplier effects and can be combined to increase their total multiplier effect. You can collect all 6 to max the base reward to be multiplied by 10x. Each Lepton is a standard ERC-721, non-custodial NFT that are able to be bought and resold.

These Lepton NFTs can be purchased the following ways:

Due to Opensea not supporting the metadata for the Polygon Lepton contract we are working with Rarible for secondary market on that chain.
Bridging Ethereum Leptons to Polygon
As Ethereum network gas prices rise, making multiple transactions there can really begin to add up. When we initially designed Leptons we didn’t anticipate the cost required as being a point of friction. We quickly saw that we would need an L2 solution, hence our partners, Polygon, would be the perfect place to bridge over the Lepton function to. So we redeployed the code over there to allow greater adoption within our Liquidity Mining Program.
In searching for a bridge partner we looked at quite a few and none of them worked well like we needed besides the XP Network Bridge. The team was super responsive, with great documentation, a nice UI, consistent, fast, and reliable. So we locked them in as the means of transportation to send our Leptons from Ethereum over to Polygon.

The process is very seamless, once you have sent your Lepton over to the Polygon chain it will be able to earn you yield there as well. Here is a walkthrough that explains step by step on how to acquire, bridge, and view.
To activate your Lepton and begin multiplying your yield first deposit either aUSDC, aDAI, or aSUSD via AAVE within our DApp. Then after you have energized your NFT with one of those three tokens (more will be rolled out in the future) you can then deposit your Lepton into the NFT and it will do what it does! Add more unique Leptons to further boost the percentages.
