For the last year and a half since the launch of our token, IONX, its utility has been protocol governance. We are a community that believes strongly in the vision of decentralization and every month there are new discussions on our governance forum and votes on our snapshot. Here, members of the DAO can help shape the future of the protocol.

Now, we’re proud to announce new utility.

IONX is now the key that unlocks our Early Adopter Program and brings external contracts onto our Allowlist immediately. For projects that want to integrate the Charged Particles protocol, they’ll find that the IONX is what they need.

What Is The Early Adopter Program?

Kicked off last month by our partners at the Cortex Network, the Early Adopter Program is a way for protocols, platforms, and projects of all kinds to integrate our SDK with white-glove service and support from our core team. It also grandfathers them into any future updates or upgrades that may be made to the protocol.

The price of membership is $5000 worth of IONX which is then locked inside the membership NFT for the period of one year. Holders of this NFT get access not only to the SDK tooling and a single smart contract allowlist, but also to our dev team for integration questions, partnership announcements, and other ecosystem benefits. Membership is customizable as well meaning projects can choose to add any number of extra smart contract allowlist spots to the package for another $1000 IONX per additional contract.

It is our hope to facilitate lasting relationships with these projects such that, at the end of their year long time lock, it remains in their best interest to maintain their stake of IONX and to regularly participate in our blossoming DAO and governance processes.

What Is External Contract Allowlisting?

Charged Particles can retroactively enable nesting functionality for ERC-721 smart contracts on both Ethereum and Polygon. With Charged Particles enabled, you’ll be able to turn your NFTs into containers that can hold other assets inside them.

With our tooling you can bundle together collections of assets, integrate DeFi into your NFT offerings, furnish your Metaverse parcels, equip rare items to your in-game avatars. The sky is really the limit! Bring this functionality to NFTs in your own custom contracts, NFTs from art platforms around the space, NFTs in your favorite game or Metaverse, top-level crypto domains, PFPs, you name it!

If you can mint it, you can nest it.

Option 1: The DAO (Slow)

Submit an application in gov.charged.fi, stating which NFT contract you’d like Allowlisted.
If the community is onboard, send a fee of $100 worth of IONX to the Charged Particles Community DAO. The address is: 0xbd4707B67d362A0172036b41bA07D2ff18871711
Your application will then formally go to community vote on Snapshot. This process can take 2–8 weeks.
If successful, Charged Particles will add your contract to the Allowlist. This will enable all NFTs in the contract to hold assets inside them.

Option 2: IONX (Fast)

Submit your smart contract for review here.
After the contract is reviewed and approved, send a fee of $1000 worth of IONX to the Charged Particles Community DAO. The address is: 0xbd4707B67d362A0172036b41bA07D2ff18871711
Your contract will be added to the Allowlist within 1–2 days.

Stake on GYSR to earn more IONX over our recurring 90 day epochs
Provide Liquidity on Uniswap v2 (ETH) or Quickswap (Polygon)
Vote on governance proposals on our Snapshot (with $IONX and $NOISE giveaways for every Allowlist vote)
