You came here for a good time, not a long time. You look around for a moment and decide to head off to place some bets. You’ll only be gone for a moment after all.
Encounter: Betting chance
Challenge rating: Moderate (Roll 15+)Deduct 5 silver pieces from your wealth. If you succeed, return your 5 silver pieces to your wealth and add an additional 10 silver pieces.If you fail or succeed you may try again for a max of three attempts. After that the races are finished.
You enjoyed your time placing bets, and now begin to wander back to your post. Only you find a man and merchant fighting with each other! You quickly hurry over to try and gain control over the situation.
You’re cut off by one of the other guards you grab yourself by the scruff of your shirt. “You lazy bum! You left your post! Get out of here.”
Reduce your reputation by 1 pointDisheartened and fired from your job, you slink away from the horse races. Maybe you should have taken the work a little more seriously. You can go back to the guild hall to find some more work and take your mind off of things. Or you can go back to the inn for a rest.
