You race away. There are screams behind as Death pursues you.
As you go, most of the peasants seem to have vanished. Nearby buildings come from many different eras, from dark-age hovels to skyscrapers. The whole place feels dreamlike.
Hearing hoofbeats behind, you turn down one street and then another. A clown grabs at you, but you pull away. You see a rabid hound, and turn once again.
Now you enter a smaller square. There is a dark alley to the left, a market to the right, and just ahead, a short driveway that leads uphill to a mansion’s gates…
