What is Cosmik Battle?
Cosmik Battle is the next generation Trading Card Game pitting players in epic 1v1 space duels. It serves as the introductory chapter to our interoperable universe, Cosmik. Free-to-play, the game is set to be released in Q4 2023 on the Epic Games Store and Hyperplay.
Cosmik Battle plunges players in an exciting 2D pixel art universe. As pilots, players will select their ideal spaceships, gather resources, craft cards and build outrageous decks to strike their opponents down! Cosmik Battle redefines the Trading Card Game genre by blasting players into intense, turn-based combat with innovative mechanics. Plus, a trading economy that empowers players to buy, sell, or swap cards and other in-game items.
Who is developing Cosmik Battle?
Cosmik Battle is developed by Cometh, a studio led by a team of video game enthusiasts from renowned AAA companies like Activision-Blizzard and Ubisoft. Cometh is dedicated to developing high-end, captivating games for all players. Here, blockchain serves solely as a technology to facilitate gameplay innovation without compromising quality.
Does Cosmik Battle leverage Blockchain?
Yes, Cosmik Battle integrates blockchain for certain features. However, the game is designed for all players to enjoy the experience, regardless of their interest in blockchain. While blockchain powers features that elevate the player experience — especially regarding asset trading — — the core strategic card game experience remains entirely off-chain.
Do I need to understand Blockchain to play Cosmik Battle?
No, Cosmik Battle is designed for all players, whether they’re TCG masters or beginners, blockchain enthusiasts, or profanes, hard core gamers or casual players.
How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in the product?
Blockchain is utilized to enhance digital ownership and enable Digital Collectibles trading, such as cards or spaceships. However, it doesn’t impact the core gameplay experience.
What are Digital Collectibles?
Digital Collectibles are in-game items such as cards, spaceships and cosmetics that use Non-Fungible-Token technology.
Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?
No, you don’t need a separate wallet to play Cosmik Battle. An e-mail address is all you need to enjoy the game!
However, for those interested in Digital Collectibles such as Premium Cards, Cometh offers its unique solution — Cometh Connect — which deploys a wallet for you (see below for more information). This wallet will be used to store your Digital Collectibles. Rest assured, you will retain sole ownership of this wallet; we simply facilitate its creation.
Cometh Connect will be deployed on the Testnet used during the Cosmik Battle Technical Alpha. The Premium Cards players acquire will be stored in the wallet created for them. Since the testnet is temporary, these NFTs will be removed when transitioning to the Mainnet. Afterward, all Digital Collectibles will be irrevocably minted and permanently stored on players’ wallet, and they will do whatever they want with them!
In the final version of the game, players will also have the option to link their preferred wallet (Metamask, Coinbase …) to their accounts. However, this feature will not be available during the Technical Alpha.
What is Cometh Connect?
Cometh Connect is Cometh’s proprietary technology that enables applications and games to provide their users a smart wallet controlled with biometrics, coupled with a web2 authentication system (or standalone to stay anonymous), users are onboarded with web2 convenience and web3 security: biometric signatures (passwordless, non custodial), gasless transactions, account recovery, etc.
Smart wallets deployed with Connect are based on industry standards that power millions of identities (WebAuthn) and hold wallets with >40b$ (Gnosis Safe).
In Cosmik Battle, Cometh Connect allows players to access their favorite game with an e-mail address. A wallet (Gnosis Safe) is deployed for them at their first on-chain transaction.

Do I need to pay gas fees in Cosmik Battle?
No, thanks to our solution Cometh Connect you will never have to pay gas fees in Cosmik Battle. If you interact with the chain, Cometh will pay all the gas fees for you!
What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?
Cosmik battle uses Cometh’s proprietary chain, a Layer 3 roll-up based on Arbitrum. The chain is proof-of-stake.
Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?
Cosmik Battle has a store where players can purchase in-game items and cosmetics: Premium cards, Battle Pass, Spaceships.
Additionally, the game also features its own peer-to-peer marketplace where you can trade your Digital Collectibles with other players.
Please note that the marketplace will not be available in the Technical Alpha and will arrive in the Closed Beta.
Is Cosmik Battle Play-To-Earn?
No, Cosmik Battle is not a Play-To-Earn game. Our focus is on delivering an engaging experience and an entertaining game for all players.
On which platform will Cosmik Battle be available?
The final version Cosmik Battle will be available on the Epic Games Store and Hyperplay. The game will then arrive on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

The Technical Alpha will take place from October 30, 2PM CET to November 15, 2PM CET.

Will I keep my in-game items and my account after the Technical Alpha ends?
No, the Technical Alpha is a testing phase that operates on a Testnet, so all progress and acquired items will be reset.
I log-in with an e-mail and never have to link a wallet. Is this normal?
It is perfectly normal, Cosmik Battle uses Cometh Connect, which automatically creates a wallet for users at their first on-chain interaction. Rest assured, everything is handled for you, therefore no action is needed.
I have a Metamask or any other wallet, can I use it in the Technical Alpha?
No, personal wallets are not usable in the Technical Alpha. When you interact with the Testnet, Cometh will deploy a smart wallet for you. This wallet will store the Premium Cards you collect in-game.
However, in the final version of the game, you will be able to link your Metamask to your account.
What are Core Cards and Core Boosters?
In Cosmik Battle, players have access to over 200 cards. These come in two varieties: Core and Premium.
Unlike Premium Cards, Core Cards cannot be traded or upgraded, but their effects remain consistent. Premium Cards DO NOT offer any gameplay advantages over Core Cards.
Core Cards can be collected either through Cosmik Journey or Core Boosters.
Core Boosters can be crafted using Galactic Credits and include 5 Core Cards. .
What are Premium Cards and Premium Boosters?
Contrary to Core Cards, Premium Cards are tradable and upgradable. However, they maintain the exact same effect as Core Cards. Premium Cards DO NOT have any gameplay advantages over Core Cards.
Premium Cards are Digital Collectibles stored on your digital wallets. You can do whatever you want with them, including trading them on our Peer-to-peer marketplace.
Premium Cards are collected through Premium Boosters.
Premium Boosters can be crafted with Aurium and include 5 Premium Cards.
Galactic Credits & Aurium
Galactic Credits is the common currency in the Cosmik universe. Pilots use them to craft Core Boosters. These credits can be earned by completing missions from the Cosmik Journey or through Daily Quests.
Aurium is a rare resource that is reserved for the elite pilots. Used to craft Premium Boosters, Aurium is obtained as a Battle reward. The Aurium collection feature will be introduced post-Technical Alpha.
Please note: During the Technical Alpha, players can convert Galactic Credits into Aurium for crafting Premium Boosters but this feature will be discontinued after the Technical Alpha is over.
What drop rates apply to the Premium Booster?
During the Technical Alpha, the following drop rates will apply to the Premium Boosters:
- COMMON = 78%
- UNCOMMON = 16%
- RARE = 5.8%
- MYTHIC = 0.2%
The drop rates might change throughout the Technical Alpha as we are utilizing it to evaluate the sustainability of the in-game economy.
Can I trade my Premium Cards?
The Technical Alpha runs on a testnet so your Premium Cards have no value. For this reason we have disabled the store and the marketplace during the time of the event.
This marketplace will be up and running when the Closed Beta opens. From then, you will be able to trade your Premium Cards are Digital Collectibles, giving you complete autonomy over them.
Transactions on the Marketplace are entirely peer-to-peer, with Cometh (as a developer) taking a 5% commission from each transaction value.
