Updated Submission Guidelines

I’ve updated my Submissions Guidelines to now include stories about exercising as well as dancing. I would love to read any stories you think would fit for my publication, keeping in mind I want unusual events, hilarious moments, embarrassing and surprising moments, stories that are unique. Click here for Submissions Guidelines.

Current teaching status

I couldn’t stay away from dancing for very long and am now teaching Zumba®/Dance Aerobics again at two venues. My new class will be a variety class which will include a belly dance segment! I missed belly dancing, too, and I will definitely be writing some stories about those days.

Exercising

For me it’s about moving — with or without music — I love to walk as much as I love to dance. And now that my son presented me with a new puppy this morning, something I’d been dreaming of getting, I’ll be walking the dog!

Stories and Writers

I have a few people who are interested in writing for this publication and am waiting with baited breath for their first submissions. This month I’ve added a few new stories, myself. I will supply a link to those, our newsletters don’t allow us to embed a simple list yet.

The Complaint Desk Is Closed Today — one of the trials and tribulations of running a dance studio, for sure.

and

One of My Most Embarrassing Moments Involved a Microphone — I don’t think I’ll ever forget that night.

and

How a Ballroom Dancer Used Her Skills to Create an Aerobics Class — there will be more coming on this one, as it’s a long story.

and

I Felt I Lost My Identity When I Retired from Dancing — I never realized how important it was to continue teaching and dancing until I gave it up.
