Day 79

There is a certain inevitability about each day. And today is no exception. 7am Stormy wakes up & refuses to get out of bed. 30 minutes later she staggers out, gets dressed, refuses to eat breakfast and then we rush to the bus. I watch as the bus pulls away — we blow each other kisses and then she’s gone.

She returns home at the normal time, but I don’t. Unexpectedly I need to work late tonight. I ask Stormy’s carer if she can do the evening routine in my absence. I feel incredibly guilty about that. I promise myself that I’ll make it up to her.
