This month on Engage, we’ve asked our writers to consider the dawn of a new lunar cycle.
The Lunar New Year is well on its way, so in the spirit of the zeitgeist, earlier this month we asked our authors to join a new and enticing challenge to celebrate the year of the dragon.
Engage is now under the Alchemy Publications umbrella and we’ve planned a series of writing challenges focusing on Heritage Months.
This month, our sister publication, Rock n'Heavy, has asked writers to revisit the music of resistance during Black History Month.
For March, we’ve planned to honor Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.
So if you enjoy our prompts, you can start drafting your stories under these topics, as we will be delighted to publish them.
Meanwhile, there’s still time for you to join our ongoing challenge on Engage:

Closing notes
I want to wrap this up with a couple of reminders for our authors, regarding the importance of adding alt-text to your images, among other details like crediting and linking to sources.
Please take time to make your stories more visually enticing and accessible to readers.
If you want to know more about how to nail your featured image on Engage, I recommend reading this story.
It’s also important to tag your stories with relevant topics. Before sending your story to us, take a moment to explore the platform’s topics page.
Choose your first topic carefully, as this one will be shown under the story title on any of the platform’s feeds.
To improve searchability and traceability, we also ask you to add “Engage” as one of the five topics.
That’s all for now, but if you have any questions, drop us a query below and we’ll get back to you.
Thank you for reading and writing!
