In 2019, we added a boat load of new font families to MyFonts! We’ve taken all the data from the entire year and present you with the definitive Top 25 Best-Selling NEW Fonts of 2019. Thanks for making 2019 another great year!

#1: Helvetica® Now

By Monotype

Helvetica® Now contains 48 fonts in the family covering three distinct optical sizes: Micro, Text and Display. It also has an extensive set of alternates, which allow designers the opportunity to experiment with and adapt Helvetica’s tone of voice. This includes a hooked version of the lowercase l, as well as a rounded G, and a straight-legged R, a single story a and a lowercase u without a trailing serif.

In the past, designers had to nudge, trim and contort the design to create stylish display-type lockups with Helvetica. Helvetica Now Display was designed and spaced with those modifications in mind — saving effort and providing more consistent and stylish results.

#2: Bebas Neue Pro™

By Dharma Type

Bebas Neue Pro contains 40 fonts in the family and European & Russian language support. This new-and-improved font family brings a versatile set of lowercase characters and italics to the previously bestselling Bebas Neue. Perfect for branding, headlines, and posters!

#3: Noah™

By Fontfabric

Noah™ is a geometric sans with sharp details, containing 72 fonts in the family. It contains four different sets of fonts with four different x-heights for different purposes.

Noah can be applied to any project and is well suited for a wide range of typographic purposes. The entire set includes styles from Thin to Black, with matching true italics and supports Extended Latin and Cyrillic scripts in more than 130 languages.

#4: TT Supermolot Neue

The #4 bestselling new font is TT Supermolot Neue by TypeType! Featuring 54 fonts in the family with over 620 glyphs per font. It is a redesigned, extended and greatly enhanced reincarnation of the popular TT Supermolot and TT Supermolot Condensed font families.

The previous families were popular and used heavily in video games, films and branding. However, the limited composition of old families put boundaries their development, which prompted TypeType to release a completely redesigned and greatly extended version.

#5: TT Hoves

TT Hoves contains 20 bright fonts ideal for technological styling. With TT Hoves, TypeType wanted to create a sans serif with recognizable patterns and geometry that would be perfectly suited for solving visual problems in such areas as architecture, design, industry, science, astronomy, drawing, high tech, research, space, and statistics.

#6: Silver South

Silver South, coming in at #6 bestselling new font released in 2019 on MyFonts is a classy font duo.

With a stylish didot-style serif font and a free-flowing, expressive script companion, Silver South offers beautiful typographic harmony for a diversity of design projects, including logos & branding, wedding designs, social media posts, advertisements & product designs. Silver South Script Alt is a second version of Silver South Script, with a completely new set of upper & lowercase characters.

#7: Graphit

By HvD Fonts

Graphit by the heavyweight foundry HvD Fonts comes in at #7 this year. It combines clear, geometric shapes with edgy yet finely-crafted details.

Based on the geometry of the triangle, Graphit aims to be both an inspiring and professional type family.

#8: Gabriela

By Latinotype Mexico

Gabriela is a Didone typeface well-suited to classy branding and editorial designs. Coming in at #8 bestselling new fonts of 2019, Latinotype Mexico knocked it out of the park with this new release. It contains 9 styles ranging from thin to black with matching true italics. Each font weight has an average of 750 characters which support more than 200 Latin-based languages.

Gabriela shares all of its DNA with Gabriela Stencil, but is more versatile. The font is an excellent choice for short and medium-length text.

#9: Montecatini Pro

Redesigned and expanded with additional weights and widths, Montecatini Pro came in at #9 this year on MyFonts. Montecatini takes its cues from the elegant Stile Liberty travel posters of Italy in the early 1900s. Montecatini has a dynamic capacity for comprehensive use and pairing. Everything looks better in Montecatini, from book jackets to monograms to packaging and logos — and the wide selection of ligatures, contextual alternates, weights, and widths makes typesetting a delight.

#10: Magnat

Magnat by Rene Bieder landed at #10 on our bestsellers of 2019 list. With 36 styles ranging over three subfamilies: Poster, Head and Text, it’s ideal for everything from headlines to small text. The Poster and Head styles — with their tight spacing and luxurious shapes — are made for impactful headlines and short paragraphs. The text weights are a great addition for small text sizes.

Each font style is equipped with many OpenType features, including alternate characters, different number sets and case sensitive shapes, making it a perfect choice for professional type setting in branding, editorial or digital design.

#13: Kokomo Breeze

Nicky Laatz is at it again with the 2019 release Kokomo Breeze, a script font that simply screams summer. It’s packed with natural-looking ligatures and alternate characters for both upper and lower case. Pair it with a bold tall sans serif font, or a classy serif to add another whole new dimension to this very versatile marker font. Great for headlines, bold branding, classy packaging, eye-catching callouts and stand-out advertising.

#14: TT Trailers

TT Trailers by Vika Usmanova and the TypeType team comes in at #14 in our new bestsellers of 2019 list.

The starting point of the TT Trailers project was the idea to develop a new generation of narrow typefaces for use in movie credits and posters. The TypeType portfolio already had a modular geometric sans in TT Bluescreens, so the new project from the very beginning was in a humanist spirit. This playful family is full of personality, with extreme ink traps, stackable letterforms, and tons of movement.

#15: Lumios Marker

By My Creative Land

Lumios Marker, coming in at #15, is a freehand casual marker script that was created using Pilot Sign Pen. It has both extended Latin and basic Cyrillic support that is enhanced with oodles of ligatures (latin as well as cyrillic) and alternates. As a compliment to the script, Elena also created Lumios Design Elements font that can be useful in brand design, greeting cards design etc. Lumios Marker is a perfect companion to Lumios Typewriter, sharing the same soft curves and clean letter edges.

#16: FF Infra™

By Monotype

FF Infra™ is a fresh take on the robust sans serif typefaces of the early 20th century. Drawn by Gabriel Richter for Monotype, it’s a friendly, inviting, and multi-talented family. FF Infra’s 20 styles are easy on the eyes in both print and digital environments. FF Infra™ has an extended character set supporting most Central European and many Eastern European languages. Each font also contains four sets of figures and tons of arrows for different use cases!

#17: Gopher

Gopher is a great example of the popular reverse-contrast trend that sprung up in design in 2019. Adorable, modern, and a bit funky, this family of 48 fonts is flexible and contains a nice range of weights and varying levels of contrast, depending on how funky you want to go!

#18: TT Tsars

By TypeType

The TT Tsars font family is a collection of serif display titling fonts that are stylized to resemble the fonts of the beginning, the middle and the end of the 18th century. Separated into groupings based on era, A — D stick to established historical ideals. E however, is a steampunk fantasy typeface, based on Russian Сivil type (also referred to as Grazhdansky type which emerged after Peter the Great’s language reform). This style represents TypeType’s reflections on the topic of what would have happened if the civil font had developed further and received a Latin counterpart, where the civil type was exported to Europe and began a new style.

#19: Aktifo

#20: Winslow Book

Winslow Book was designed to be a perfect typeface for text and display purposes. With 12 styles in the family, the user has options to get the job done. Delicate features give it a playful feel while keeping Scotch Modern attributes of vertical stress, bracket serifs and ball terminals, while unique features give it a personality of its own.

#21: Mundo Serif

Mundo Serif is ready to take on just about any project. Carl Crossgrove drew the suite of typefaces to complement his Mundo Sans family’s classic humanistic design traits — and added a subtle modern influence. With 18 fonts in the family, it’s designed primarily for comfortable reading on screens.

#22: Blacker Pro

By Zetafonts

Coming in at #22, Blacker Pro is the revised and extended version of the original wedge serif type family designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Andrea Tartarelli in 2017. Blacker was developed as a take on the style that Jeremiah Shoaf has defined as the “evil serif” genre: typefaces with high contrast, oldstyle or modern serif proportions and sharp, blade-like triangular serifs.

#23: Kitsch

Kitsch is a typeface happily living at the crossroads between classical latin and medieval gothic letterforms. But, rather than referencing historical models like the Italian Rotunda or the French Bastarda scripts, Kitsch tries to renew both its inspirations, finding a contemporary vibe in the dynamic texture of the calligraphic broad-nib pen applied to the proportions of the classical roman skeleton.

#24: Eckhart

Coming in at #24, Eckhart is a modern, high-contrast typeface designed to create elegant, original and expressive designs. It’s a complete type system for many uses, from branding to setting paragraph text. Eckhart is equipped with ligatures, swashes and alternates, along with a decorative style that makes it very distinctive as a display typeface.

#25: Jazmín

Wrapping up our list of top new fonts, last but definitely not least at #25 is Jazmín, a family of 32 fonts inspired by “Globe Gothic” design, yet features different proportions, curves, serif shapes and contrast, which give it a classy, playful and a more contemporary look. The family comes in two versions: an elegant font set of 8 weights, ranging from Thin to Black with matching italics, and an alternate, more playful counterpart. Each font contains 566 characters which support over 200 Latin-based languages. Jazmín is ideal for magazines, short text, logos, branding design, packaging and advertising.
