The Last Issue of Fiction & Folx
Optional Attitudes, Your Trans Child’s Social Transition, TikTok-ers for Trans Youth, a New Rated & Reviewed, and Our Last Short Story
Hello, My Fabulous Friend!
This is the last mini-newsletter of Fiction & Folx. You can find the link to the whole fabulous issue here (which includes links to articles for those who are not Medium members).
You all spoke, and I gladly listened. Interest in the short fiction included in these newsletters isn’t in line with what you, the subscribers, want. So this will be the last issue to include a short story. But give it a read if you enjoy fantasy — it’s a wonderfully strange one.
The Last Issue of Fiction & Folx Newsletter
If you haven’t grabbed the full Fiction & Folx Newsletter, here’s the link. This issue is packed full of fabulosity:
- Attitude Is Optional, Gender Identity Is Not: Being transgender is not a choice. Recently a well-loved family member expressed her concern for my transgender son’s future.
- 5 TikTok-ers Making a Difference for Trans Youth: And why you should go follow them now. Getting to know many of the beautiful souls on this platform who create videos that promote equality, stand up for the human rights of several marginalized groups, and act as amazing representation of the LGBTQ+ community has been wonderfully insightful and enlightening — and also a lot of fun.
- 5 Ways Your Transgender Child Will Socially Transition: And as a parent, how you can help.
- The Queens’ English by Chloe O. Davis has been officially Rated & Reviewed by LGBTQueer-ies! It’s a must-have reference book for anyone wanting to better understand the LGBTQ+ community.
- “The Daughters of the Moon” by Italo Calvino is a beautifully written short story about the people of Earth throwing away the moon.
You can check out all of this in the last Fiction & Folx newsletter.
