On August 22nd, 2018, we live streamed the very first episode of OST LIVE, a weekly video podcast series on blockchain, token economies, and branded tokens built on OST. We have featured blockchain experts, authors, OST team members, partners, community developers and project updates. OST LIVE has released 24 episodes, gained 100+ subscribers, and reached over 5k YouTube views on the video podcast series. We are also now available on over 30 podcast platforms, including iTunes, Alexa, Spotify, CastBox, and Google Play.

OST Updates

We have featured several OST project updates on the podcast. Starting with Episode 1, CEO Jason Goldberg discussed the goals of the OST Company and the OpenST Foundation. On Episode 3, Chief Blockchain Ben Bollen introduced and explained OpenST Mosaic, OST’s protocol for scaling DApps on Ethereum to thousands of transactions per second. Then CEO Jason Goldberg provided 9 OST updates on Episode 8, including the alpha mainnet release in which 12 partners staked real OST on mainnet and minted their first branded tokens. Most recently on Episode 20, Ben Bollen, Rachin Kapoor, Kedar Chandrayan, and Pro Gevorgyan provided a detailed update on the OpenST 0.9.4 Protocol release.

People of OST

People of OST is a weekly segment in which we host a one-on-one interview with an OST team member to get to know the people behind our project. We show what goes on behind the scenes and the people behind every smart contract, behind every partnership, and behind every tweet. We are proud to have a diverse team located globally with offices in Berlin, Pune, Hong Kong, and New York. From our newest member David Brill to founding member Sunil Khedar, here’s a glance of team members featured on People of OST: Mohit Anand, Junisha Malkani, Francis Dufour, Paul Kuveke, David Brill, Sunil Khedar, Kevin Parulekar, Rachin Kapoor and Paul J du Plessis.

New Partnerships

OST is constantly working to meet the needs of real businesses by providing a scalable, and user friendly platform for companies with millions of users. OST’s partner companies are bringing their existing economies of hundreds of millions of users onto the OST blockchain. We are excited to highlight these partnerships on OST LIVE, including Episode 5 with PassKit, a digital wallet solution with over 250 million users worldwide. Most recently, on Episode 12 we announced our partnership with Animoca Brands to develop blockchain-powered games.

Case Studies

We have featured multiple case study interviews with more to come! Sean Howell, Co-Founder of Hornet and CEO of the LGBT Foundation joined us on Episode 6 to discuss the goals behind launching LGBT Token. We then sat down with Best of Alpha III community developers to discuss their experiences with using OST API’s and wallet features. Lastly, we’ve featured our partners ConnectScale, License Rocks, and Touriosity which are using OST’s blockchain technology to tokenize their platforms.

Special Guests

We are honored to have OST advisors with an array of diverse backgrounds. Authors Thomas Power and Sean Au, joined us to discuss concepts from their recently released book Tokenomics. We also featured OST project advisors and digital asset investment firm executives Keld van Schreven from KR1 and Jehan Chu from Kenetic to provide insight on funding and investing in blockchain projects in 2018.

  2. Pavel Bains on October 24th @ 4pm CEST — Pavel is the CEO of Bluzelle, a decentralized database that solves the security, integrity, reliability issues facing data management. Pavel will discuss the future of digital content and data on the blockchain.
  3. Ben Chan on October 31st @ 4pm CEST — Ben Chan is CTO of BitGo,
    security, compliance, and custodial solutions for blockchain-based currencies. He first started building on Bitcoin and Blockchain in 2012, working on a number of projects, including wallet platforms, key management, early blockchain identity management and machine to machine payments.
  4. Nate McKervey on November 1st @ 4pm CEST — Nate McKervey is an entrepreneurial technologist and keynote speaker focused on Blockchain & DLT and it’s intersection with Big Data, Machine Learning, and IoT. Nate is currently the Head of Blockchain and DLT at Splunk. Nate will discuss blockchain and the possibilities of DLT enterprise solutions.
