DeFi in Cosmos: Meet These 4 Cross Chains DEXs
DeFi’s growth in 2021 has been exponential, turning it into a sector now worth over $100 billion. Cosmos Network is making great strides while adding new layers to its already robust DeFi infrastructure that includes many exciting projects such as Terra, THORchain, Band Protocol, and Crypto.org.
One key area of growth is the addition of some of the most advanced cross-chain decentralized exchanges (DEXs) that leverage the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC) to enable permissionless and harmonious trading across various Cosmos blockchains and beyond.
The DEX ecosystem within Cosmos is growing quickly. There’s now access to new and promising tokens, higher liquidity for smooth trading and price stability, permissionless token listings, opportunities for generating higher ROI by participating in liquidity pools, and a lot more.

Interchain Grantee Spotlight: How Bianjie Is Helping to Grow the Cosmos Ecosystem
Bianjie is a long-term core contributor to IRISnet and the Cosmos network — and no one is better placed to discuss Bianjie’s plans to help grow the Cosmos ecosystem than Jeffrey Hu, Research Director and Head of Strategy at IRISnet.
In this article, the team discusses how Bianjie and IRISnet have been instrumental in developing Cosmos so far, what the recent grant from the Interchain Foundation (ICF) means, and plenty more besides — from NFTs and cross-ecosystem bridges to enterprise-level applications and expanding the Cosmos China community. Check it out.

Towards Tendermint Core 1.0
Tendermint roadmap for the next 18 months
Tendermint Core 1.0’s chief concern is stability. It must be stable enough that people can (continue) to build production software on it confidently. This requires an increased level of clarity and rigidity around all the interfaces exposed by Tendermint Core. It also requires us to build confidence in Tendermint Core’s performance and correctness through investments in performance-oriented refactors and increased, more sophisticated testing.
This post outlines the things the team considers necessary for a 1.0 release.
The team thinks of new features and improvements as a kind of Maslow’s hierarchy combined with a food pyramid, with the most substantial and most boring goals at the bottom, and the shinier and smaller changes at the top.
If you have questions, ideas, or would like to contribute, please open an issue or join Tendermint developer forum.
