We are what we repeatedly do. I’m reinventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time.

This process post is part of my Re Human project.

Today, at noon, I went to a big church where people danced ecstatically.

Good energy, very SF. It’s an event they have on Sundays called Ecstatic Dance.

This week I read

Curious: the desire to know and why your future depends on it.

The Artist’s Way

Awaken The Giant Within

here are my notes for these books.

and I started The Goal (early in the week, but moved to the other books instead). Also started A Place Called Freedom (trying to get into more fiction — this one is historical fiction so I feel like it could be a good mix of non-fiction and fiction).

Some Breakthrough Ideas from the Week

(from Awaken the Giant Within book):

Every moment, we’re taking 3 decisions:

  • What to pay attention to/focus on
  • What does it mean (interpretation)
  • What to do now

(from Curious: the desire to know and why your future depends on it book):

The biggest factor for creative thought is just knowing a lot of things.

I’m taking Sundays as a rest day, which I was forgetting by wanting to also draw a “conceptual art” every Sunday, on top of writing my newsletter, this reflection, trying to make a video of my notion system (it’s hard to be in front of a camera; it’s new for me), and hanging out in SF with friends. But it’s already late, and I love and value sleeping 8 hours more than most things, so no conceptual art today :). Just a nice, short reflection with some slices of my life and what I’m thinking about and experiencing.
